My name is Laina Briedis. I’ve lived on Long Island all my life, and for as long as I can remember I have been captivated with the concept, practice, and art of photography. I suppose you could say that I very often try to live vicariously though my pictures, each still frame is a dream I had once, an attempt to capture or at least encompass some aspect of infinity. I create photographs because I’ve come to the conclusion that all the best kinds of happiness depend upon it as far as my existence goes. I want to remember everything the way it was meant to be seen, and catalog not only an experience or adventure but the feelings associated with it and the dream-like state our memories record in. I strive to make each one of my photographs not only provoke a memory within myself, but an emotion — something that can bound across the endless invisible clotheslines of infinity, creating a connection with someone else who’s able to reach out and grab it. I’m pretty sure the universe exists because of things like that, and I crave so desperately to create such moments: instants of existential clarity. As for preference and style, I find myself very moved by and inspired to create photographs that are deeply colorful or demonstrate a boldness of color in some way. My favourite medium is 35mm color film, typically at ISO 400-200. I tend to focus the majority of my photographs on spontaneous moments of living subjects, especially those I have meaningful relationships with.

My name is Nikoline and i am 18 years old, danish but live in northern norway. i have owned a camera since i was 14 years old, but i only started to take photography more seriously a year and a half ago. i have had many hobbies over the years (writing, drawing, painting…) but over time i have lost inspiration and motivation. photography however, is something i have stuck with, and will keep on doing.

over the years i have moved around a lot. i’ve lived in the netherlands, the us, sweden, denmark, svalbard/norway. so i speak both danish, norwegian, swedish and english somewhat fluently. i love thunderstorms and the silence before and after a storm. i want to learn to drive. my best subjects at school were chemistry and biology. i am told i am “too smart to be a photographer” but mixing chemicals or looking at ecosystems doesn’t make me happy. i live on an island and drink coffee every morning.

Bendigo is about 90 minutes from Melbourne, there isn’t that much compared to Melbourne, but my gallery proves that don’t let anything like your location stop you from doing what you love.

I enjoy taking photos of people, animals, and the odd macro/still life shots.

Incorporating color into my shots is something I like to do.

Aaron Nace is a photographer based out of Chapel Hill North Carolina.  He is a graduate of the College of Design at North Carolina State University , and has been creating images professionally for half a decade.  Aaron is known for his ability to create captivating images using artificial light and post production.  His main interests include portraiture and surrealism.

Rosie Hardy is an expressionist photographer currently based out of Manchester, England.  Rosie is well known for the conceptual imagery residing in her photographs and her use of natural light.  She is regarded as one of the few young photographers making captivating pictures.  Her photographs are based on original ideas and imagery, rather than a focus on equipment.
